The serial number and batch number dimensions can be set up as either
primary or secondary dimensions. This affects the way items are
reserved/re-reserved.

If an item is set up with the batch number dimension as a primary
dimension, it will mean that when ordered receipts are reserved, no re-reservations
will be made if there are physical receipts, and that the
production will NOT be started until the appropriate batch has been
received even if other batches of the same items are physically received. If,
on the other hand, an item is set up with the batch number dimension as
secondary dimension, re-reservation is made when there is physical item
receipt, as long as this is appropriate in relation to the net profile
requirement for the item.
