AX 4 Automatic filling field

Hi All,
While creating new record, or during saving new record, I want system filled the field ToDate in the previous record automatically. ie

record 1:
Descr.| FromDate | ToDate
test1 | 10/10/2008 |

record 2:
test2 | 15/10/2008 |
save -> system should filled ToDate in previous record now.

Final result should be:
Descr.| FromDate | ToDate
test1 | 10/10/2008 | 14/10/2008
test2 | 15/10/2008 |

Does something like this exist in AX? Could you give me table name or help how
to do this?
